In 2002, Sandra Magnus took her first journey into space aboard the space shuttle Atlantis. During her nearly 11 days in space, Magnus took three space walks. In 2008, Magnus lived on the International Space Station for more than four months. In July, she was part of NASA's final shuttle mission.
