A Letter from Womenetics' New Senior Editor
Written by Womenetics Wednesday, January 11 2012
Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved stories, especially stories about women. Perhaps, that’s why I’ve spent the last 15 years as a professional playwright crafting stories that make us laugh, make us think and inspire us to imagine a bigger life for ourselves.
And now, enter Womenetics, right on cue, and with this new opportunity comes the chance to tell new stories, more stories, to share business strategies and informative profiles, to arm women with inspiration and useful, timely information. My hope is that this site becomes a place where we talk to one another, where we share our best advice and keep each other informed, where we are reminded of all we are capable of and how important our voices are. And along the way, we will also remind you to look up, to take a walk, eat a great meal, mentor a young woman, take the risk, make the ask and define what success is for you.
And so four days in to my new role as Senior Editor and I’m already asking a favor. Send me a quick email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. What keeps you up at night and what inspires you? The more you talk to me, the more this site can be.
What excites me most is that the world of Womenetics includes teen entrepreneurs Lily and Melanie Sandler; international human rights activist Naomi Tutu, Desmond Tutu’s daughter; Julie Smolyansky, the youngest female CEO of a publicly held firm; Swannee Hunt, former US ambassador to Austria; Jaqueline Boone, who is launching a web show called “Six Months to Live”; and Edit Schlaffer, founder of an international advocacy organization called Women Without Borders. And this amazing world also includes you and now, me. Thank you for being part of Womenetics and for helping to build a community of vibrant and vital professional women.
